  1. Hey everyone! Up for sale is a massive Scalextric Digital set up. No expense was spared for this set up, and before you ask - I will not be splitting anything unless the track is sold. From the ground up we have: Custom tables, when together measure 3500 x 1800 - storage underneath. (About $700 in materials - marine ply for the top and the storage at the bottom) Large track lay out with even length lanes, digital pit lane sensing, some scenery, boarders for ~90% of the track, plenty of digital lane changers (before every major turn, allowing you to pick the best line for each corner) RikoRocket usb cable connected to a PC, running both SSDC AND RCS64 (although you do have to flash the pit lane sensor to work with either program) Logitech Z5500 speakers (always have tunes going while we are racing) Power modded 6 car power base with an external power supply set to 15.5v and plenty of amps for high powered cars. 4 x TruSpeed controllers. 4K 44” TV with a roof mount. SPARE: 6 car power base AUX/USB cable Pit lane sensor, as well as spare track. In this price I will include 4 x digital ready slot cars to start you off, and if the track sells I will list my collection, and the track purchaser will get first pick. Reason for sale - It hasn't been getting the attention it deserves, and other hobbies have taken over my garage and I need the space! Here is a video of the track before I made the pit lane 2 lanes - https://youtu.be/pNyRUVs5rUE Here is the Instagram page with some pics of the set up - https://www.instagram.com/tulip_raceway/ $3500 pick up Cheltenham VIC 3192. More than happy to have the track set up to try before you buy. And more than happy to answer any questions.
  2. for the Metro series 2022 The idea is to have as few rules as possible for 2 reasons: (1) to allow for some creative flexibility and (2) because it is highly unlikely some of our local drivers will follow them anyway. Here are the rules as they stand now: Entrants must use the old clunker 80's Scalextric Metro - not a modern alternative. It can be raced with or without the removable body kit. Body and body kit (if used) must remain stock from the outside. Superfluous material on the inside of the body and body kit can be lightened or removed. Must use original chassis. Chassis can be modded / altered / added to as much as you like as long as the original chassis remains the principle part of the chassis and it is not visible if looking down on the car. All windows must be glazed. Lightweight / lexan glazing is ok. Car must have an interior. Lightweight / lexan interior is OK as long as there is a driver, seat and dash. (i.e. no flat interiors.) Wheels, tyres, guide, guide wire, guide braid, axles, pinion, gear, bushes, spacers are open. Motor is open. Wheels inserts must be used if wheel would normally have them Wheels must fit under the wheel guards. Guide must be under the body. Ballast allowed. Metal additions to the chassis are limited to tubing the front axle; bracing the rear bushes to the motor.; and forming a collar to hold the guide. No magnets.

I struggled like many of you finding a good photograph of the Scalextric cars. Some of the reference sites have very poor photographs that make identifying the cars very difficult. And on with the photographs

  11. Red Racer is back with some club racing to suit all forms of Slot car fans. Watch this and simular space's for current and upcoming race event's. Friday Night Racing Sideways Dallara and Riley Championship The first installment of Double R Club Racing will commence Friday the 10th of August. Sideways are produced by Racer in conjunction with Slot.It drivetrains. The combination results in highly detailed replica's with performance to match their looks. They have 12 different liveries and have small design changes which made the car's appear the same but perform differently. We have closed the gap on performance by using Slot.it race magnets throughout the 12 cars which has given them the same amount of magnet down force. The cars will be raced in stock form other than the magnet exception for some close racing. Tyres as alway's will be a must to get adiquiet grip and ride height.
