Scx Digital To Analog Conversion

Being the lover of Audi TT's that i am, and them being on the scarce side nowadays, i bought a SCX digital "Sline" DTM version. The sales assistant told me that it would work on both digi and analog and not knowing any better, stupidly(?), believed him! Well suprise, suprise... it doesn't work with analog and that my fall back position of just removing the chip dosent appear to be the unplug n discard job i had envisioned. Is there an easy conversion for these cars or should i just sell it?

SCX digital track is even totally different from SCX analogic.

Take it back where you bought it.

Next thing you know you'll be wondering why digital is not that popular in the US, why the "chip" cannot count to more than 10 without getting it wrong, or why you would want 36 drivers on a 2 lane digital home track

Hi Aussieslotter thanks for the reply but unfortunatly thats not really an option as i bought it on a walkabout n not expect to be back that way for months besides it being a TT-R id like to keep it if i can somehow get it working.

have a look on youtube

this one tells you how to make analog to digital so I guess you could just try reversing the process :(

talks about 2008 cars which are digital/analog compatible

I haven't done this (I don't have SCX digital cars) but I would imagine once you take the chip out you may need to solder some wires from the guide pickups to the motor pickups

cheers
