kalbfellp
This is a bracket that Andi has built for a scratch built F1 car, over on the 1/32 F1 Scratchbuilt Forum. It will be interesting to see how this car compares to conventional geared cars. This setup used ball races and what look like prototype Slot It Gears. SlotsNZ
Hiyas price indication is "about the same as Slot.it cars" - So going to be cheaper than Fly, a little dearer than Scaley I guess. - I am just not sure about whether it will still be an ff-050 motor, as originally planned, or an FC-130 Quote Recovering Lapsed Slot Addict * Custodian of many used screws (mostly loose ) * Total kidder * Companion of other delusional slot addicts
dangermouse
Policar Lotus 72 inserts and classic 70s F1 wheels were on show on SF this morning - hope that means these are getting closer. I held off getting the Scalextric ones in preference for the Policar ones Edited November 26, 2014 by dangermouse

Pricing - Should be the same as price level for Slot.it Technical Specification - see picture below, gearing, parts, tyres etc; except motor RPM, which I do not have. manimmal
Roll on Q3. I'm typically not an open wheel slot car guy, and whilst I managed to not buy the Gold Leaf car, the JPS is too iconic for me to say no to. Camber
Had a sniff around with these cars, realised they come with no magnet....cool. How do they run? Do any other RTR 1/32 scale manufacturers offer cars out of the box without traction magnets? - Cam Edited January 9, 2017 by Camber Quote Hoo Roo
dangermouse
They go quite well Cam - very nicely balanced - I did change the rear tyres on mine to some urethanes I made myself. There are a couple of other cars that come without a magnet - some of the teamslot and Avant Slot cars came without magnets - one or two other cars come to mind will have a look tomorrow and confirm. shadow_rusty
I believe that 1970's scaley's came without magnets... lol. Not sure if I had to remove the magnet from the other policar lotus, but it runs very nicely with urethane tyres... We don't allow weight in our classic f1 class, but we do run BWA's, for which the policar gearing is a little (ok, a lot) short...
