Stubbo
Happy new year Tasmanites. Here is the latest entry list with all the updates. I got several messages over the last few weeks so I hope everything is correct. We have 23 of 24 of last years entrants returning with only one to confirm. I will hold that spot for them until the last minute. This is a fantastic response and thanks to everyone concerned. lenny broke
Hi Alan, I'm in with #4 again please, probably with the Cooper T62 but may get a round to a new car. Keep Mrs Broke as a reserve again in case a new entrant needs a spot on the grid. rosco01
HI Alan, yes - I'm certainly back in for 2016... will run a T-53 Cooper again. Revision 1 is on the building board, just a few small modifications from Bill's car - if it's competitive, it will enter with different number. With the 2015 series culminating as such a wonderful success, I expect rules for the 24 field limit may be empowered early. I am very confident that with apparent growing international interest, the field may fill before the end of this month. For now I will limit my entry to a single car but would guarantee a third party proxy entrant for my second car if a grid position needs filling towards the closing date - but with "reserves" already in the waiting paddock after only two days' notice of next year's series, I fully expect my second car will not be required. frats, Rosco Edited November 3, 2015 by rosco01
shadow_rusty
I've been thinking about entering this... How close to legal is the Scaley Cooper Climax T53? Also, as number 2 may already be taken, can we just put any number on to an existing livery? Edit: http://www.vsrnonlin...MC_V2N2_p74.jpg Appears that the axles will be very difficult to get narrow enough... Currently ~51mm from outer tyre to outer tyre on the rear axle. I can easily narrow that to ~47mm, but getting down to the required ~44mm will will be quite difficult. Wheelbase is ~70mm, and getting it to the required ~72.5mm should be doable... Also, this livery was also run as #1, #10 and #53. Stubbo
Hi Shadow, RTR cars are not eligible. Looking back at the rules it is probably not stated as clearly as it should have been so I will amend that. Chassis should be scratch built or fabricated in some way like a Penelope Pitlane chassis. The T53 body is fine. The maximum width allowed is 50.8mm (2") from sidewall to sidewall. Quote Alan Stubbings

shadow_rusty
Thanks Embs. Not sure if I'm going to build a brass-piano wire chassis, or a plastic one.
