jimmyslots 1950
A big thankyou to Way to fast for the time & effort that was put in to the Slotworx 4 hour enduro a very successful race meet. Dapto sent 12 hardy souls to test their driving skills & resistance to cold weather which wasn't really that bad. Track was a great challenge & you had to be patient & work hard to get a clean pass which didn't always go to plan but that was the excitement of a new track & why we race at different venues. Congrats to Brooksy (we gotta find that boy a girlfriend to slow him down)The Capt & Steve Edwards for being the most consistant team in a very well sorted car. The Slotworx cars were as always fantastic to drive & are proving to be very durable with no one having any major car issues. Our car had more hits than Elvis & was still very quick at the end of the race. A big thankyou to the locals for making us feel at home with some new friendships created Looking forward to the next one with the hope we can get more clubs involved to have as much fun as we did. Cheers Jimmy Quote To finsh first, first you gotta finish
Pagey
Well done to all and thanks for results and photos. Bugger that I missed the fun . Looked like beanies were a compulsory driver standard. Big well done to Steve E . Four Slotworx Enduros and on the top step 3 times . Hope you had your Red Bull shirt on under your jumper . Fantastic that you got Captain and Brooksy finally to the top step . Heard a rumour that Jim had a crook chook in prep for race and gave turn one in the toilets a work out . Stick to beer and pizza Jim , works for me . Hopefully we can organise another event soon and keep the inter club events growing. See you at the next one Pagey

Brooksy
Hi Guys, Â Finally made it back to Sydney, but after last night i didn't want to leave. Had a relaxing lowdown today taking in the sights and sounds of Canberra today, until the wind picked up, but that's another story! Â The guys at Way2Fast put on an fantastic event, Many thanks goes to Steve, Michael, and Mitch for their hard efforts in organising and running the evening, i think it was a great success! Â A huge thanks goes to my two fantastic teammates, Capt. and Steve. We had a bit of a shaky start with driver changes and hand controllers, but soon settled down and got into a rhythm as the night progressed. Great constant driving made like a whole lot easier on me. The highlight was that lap time on Orange. Congrats to Team Slotworx and Way2Fast for their podium finishing drives, as well as all teams and competitors that took part. The racing was fair and for the majority very clean considering the narrow lane spacing. Â Looking forward to the next one, wherever it may be. 460cixy
Yes a great event , I think every one had a great time. A great drive by Linfox and Jason on a 4.893. Cam for a great cars and Steve for hosting the event Can not wait for the next one. Now to fix the VB car. Â Yeah she ended up with more hits then Elvis by the end of it but it was still as good at the end as it was at the start except the body issues that f*#$(d us a bit With out those problems I think we could of finished further up the ladder. Mitchell did a top job on killing the track and marshalling top job mate
Sports Racer
Michael deserves a lot of credit for the work he did prior to Saturday as well as the organising on the day. Â Wouldn't have been such a great success without him, well done. Â Oh yeah, Steve deserves some credit too. Not too much though, don't want it going to his head. Quote May the downforce be with you. Camber
Great event, very enjoyable racing at a great slot car centre. Well done to team Linfox, drove their car really well to pick up the win. Â Shout out to team mate Jim who was feeling well and truly under the weather just before qualifing, soldiered on and drove like a champ. Nice to see the class adopted in ACT, all the cars on the track were solid performers well done. Â Big thanks to Steve, Michael and Mitch, the event wouldn't have been what it was without your tireless efforts. Â Lookng forward to the next one. shadow_rusty
Thanks guys for the praise. It means a lot to me that you all enjoyed yourselves. Â It was an enjoyable event for me too, including setup, racing, and race control. Very few issues, and all (bar the one below) were easily sorted. Â Â The only problem that annoyed me the whole race long was that I forgot to fix the power cut relay. \Massive props to Mitch for handling this manually though... That will be number 1 on my priority list before the next event. charlesx
Hi SR. Â You are not in Brisbane are you. Would love to see those Slotworx V8's 1/24 or 1/32. Â I am entering modified Scaly Holden V8 in Touring Car Proxy if you had not noticed. Â Gave it first run Sunday. Currently trying to make interior. You did well with your Tasman Cup car. Â Regards Chas Le Breton (charlesx)
shadow_rusty
Thanks Chas. Â Yes the 1/24 SlotWorx are great cars. I've not used the 1/32 ones, but as they are based on a Slot.it HRS chassis, they should be good too. Â I believe that a few of the Perth guys run Scaley cars with custom windows / interiors... Â And I live in an 'outer, outer' suburb, which is ~950km outside of Brisbane... Wet Coast Racer
Looks like a brilliant event! Â In this part of the world (Pacific Northwest) Alan Smith aka Scaleracing is famous for putting on awesome enduros (not that he ever buys the beer) including 12 and 24 hour events. Also 1/24, typically BRM or Scaleauto. Â BTW Rusty, SlotsNZ stole that emoticon from me. Bloody Kiwis!
espsix
Any of the enduros around the country are great to be involved with, and this one will go on to be one of the really good ones I think! Â I've always kept an eye on what Alan does in your neck of the woods, and I'm very envious of you guys having someone like Alan, with how much he puts into the hobby. charlesx
Thanks SR. Â I would gladly hop on a train(I like trains almost as much as slot cars) but 950km is probably a bit far for an evening visit. Â I know in Aussie terms it is only down the road but that might be stretching it too far. Perhaps another time. Do not recall Scaly V8's with windows etc in Perth but perhaps I forget. We now have one of the Perth racers with us in New Plymouth so I must ask him. Â Just as an aside it would be good if locations could be added to names so we know where people are - e.g. charlesx, New Plymouth, NZ. Â No idea if this has ever been discussed but perhaps you moderators can think about it. Â Regards Chas Le Breton
shadow_rusty
You mean like the location that is under the profile pic to the left of the post? lol. Â I suspect you are using the mobile version, which has a reduced interface. The full interface already has this location displayed, which for you is "Location:New Plymouth, NZ" Quote Stolen from SlotsNZ Â Team ABC Team Leader (Ambitious, But Crap) Â Home Track Threads - Shadow's Semi-Permanent Layout & Another Rug Racer & Proud of It & Gymkhana Test Track Car Collection Thread - My Car Collection Charts / Diagrams - MJK Tyre Selector / Slot.it 4wd Gearing / PoliCar Rollout / Rollout Chart Generator / SCX 4wd Rollout / Track Wiring with Brake on Track Call
charlesx
Thanks for opening my eyes SR. Had probably seen before and forgot. How unusual. Had no idea you were in Canberra. For reason unknown I thought you were further north. Â Must ask Brisbanites if there are any Slotworx there. shadow_rusty
No worries... Â I believe that they ran slotworx as a class at the nats there recently, but I'm not sure if they have them as regular racing or not though. shadow_rusty
Hmm, good question...
