manimmal
Cool build, i've been lurking in the background enjoying it for a while. At first i was unsure about no chicane but judging by your latest images the speed you'll come downhill to that right hander will require some well judged braking without potentially ruining the flow with a chicane. gref
braiding has started, well this piece anyway, we taped 2 lanes 75% and nearly used 2 full rolls of tape. Col will order 2 more rolls and then hopefully it will be not far of ready to run Quote 2 x australian ego champion regards Shane Fulel racing in first track build --> https://youtu.be/nG1EyFkbJSs My second track build --> raceday - https://youtu.be/8WXYQ528iKM
gref
Track is now fully braided (apart from pit lane which will happen later) I think Col will put up barrier/fencing before power to avoid too many trips to the concrete floor 1 Quote 2 x australian ego champion regards Shane Fulel racing in first track build --> https://youtu.be/nG1EyFkbJSs My second track build --> raceday - https://youtu.be/8WXYQ528iKM
gref
It’s alive, Col wired up one lane to test today. All barriers are temporary so no big crashes happen until more permanent ones are installed. I did some laps with my NSR Mosler and it is beautiful to drive. Ultra smooth very fast. Gonna be real good to race on! https://youtube.com/shorts/aT-9JukohGc?feature=share Quote 2 x australian ego champion regards Shane Fulel racing in first track build --> https://youtu.be/nG1EyFkbJSs My second track build --> raceday - https://youtu.be/8WXYQ528iKM

gref
So after racing for a while, the corners circled were giving us grief, upset the cars too much and as such, Col decided to change them to make the lane more appealing, should be much better 1 Quote 2 x australian ego champion regards Shane Fulel racing in first track build --> https://youtu.be/nG1EyFkbJSs My second track build --> raceday - https://youtu.be/8WXYQ528iKM

ZeGas
As a guy that designs roads for a living I can tell all that the length of the curve is more important than the radius, short curves are hard to read and adjust too and then readjust, its where most motorcyclists come a cropper. And even knowing this I made that mistake on the very first track I built. Quote Cheers Grant ....................................................... gref
This piece is the removable compulsory crossover for digital. Has not yet been tested but today Col was working on getting the lane brains setup with changers. Time and patience is key so work will continue tomorrow 1 Quote 2 x australian ego champion regards Shane Fulel racing in first track build --> https://youtu.be/nG1EyFkbJSs My second track build --> raceday - https://youtu.be/8WXYQ528iKM

Does that mean a 180 hairpin is easier to drive than a 15 degree slight bend in the road where you may just "slip" off the side shoulder? Genuinely interested (sorry for thread high jack) Edited December 30, 2021 by Shaynus spelling

Genuinely interested (sorry for thread high jack) no idea, if it doesn't work I'm sure Col will tackle that if need be, there's a compulsory crossover on the Bathurst track and you don't even notice it there Quote 2 x australian ego champion regards Shane Fulel racing in first track build --> https://youtu.be/nG1EyFkbJSs My second track build --> raceday - https://youtu.be/8WXYQ528iKM

Genuinely interested (sorry for thread high jack) Yes that is exactly right, drivers generally have an alert reaction time of around 2.4 seconds, it takes the brain that long to register a change in driving conditions, so a slight bend does not register as quickly as a hairpin, as the hairpin is a substantial turn. This is assuming a small radius. Edited January 3, 2022 by ZeGas Quote Cheers Grant .......................................................
