bov
Er - isn't that a very long one lane track? Quote Cheers, Tony. There's only two questions: 1. What direction do you go 2. What's the Lap Record?

Maybe, not sure, i have enough space on my mezzanine. i can swap bits in and out, i will start with the top left and bottom left, join those 2 bits and work from there. Capri-corn7
Looks cool Speedlink. How will the modular pieces connect. Will the braid be a press fit - or will you have some form of plugs under the pieces? Quote They are only toys .... until you pull the trigger. Speedlink
Hi ZeGas the circular disk with the cross mounts to underside of track/table and the H type shaped slide together to form the legs, then the legs locate into the cross on the disk and becomes sturdy as. frank

bov
I'm sorry - I was completely wrong about my comment about a single lane track. I misread the initial track diagram. It is actually quite an inspired design, and with the facilities at your disposal should be quite a fine track to run on! I might tone down the colors of the track and grass a tad, but that's just me.. Quote Cheers, Tony. There's only two questions: 1. What direction do you go 2. What's the Lap Record? Speedlink
more progress photos, the green will get covered one day, it is a lot different to the paper swatch, this will be a long term project once i get it running.
bov
It's going to be interesting to see how the track plays out with cars going around corners in opposite directions (albeit a lane apart) - a deslot could lead to some impressive collisions . But the quality of the workmanship is very impressive! Where do you envisage placing the driver stands / lap scoring? Quote Cheers, Tony. There's only two questions: 1. What direction do you go 2. What's the Lap Record?
Speedlink
there will be clear plastic barriers going in, once i start playing with it - i bet all work will stop lol station will be approx where the left over mdf is leaning up against the camper, and TV opposite - end of the opposite track Edited January 30, 2024 by Speedlink
