Tony.A
Last Thursday night during Happy Hour saw another great BRM Group2 sedan race on the 4 lane track. This track although short in lap length provides some great old school racing with tail slides and door banging side by side racing with at at times four cars running together.Tony won with 126 laps from Ben with 118 who had a great battle with Leah on 115 and Fred who is improving every week on 109. Tony.A
Last night during Happy Hour we held a fun race for BRM Group 2 Sedans and what a cracker of a race it was.It was a close race with Ben leading the way for most of the race .Fred and Leah was having their own great battle and quite often there would be four wide action for lap after lap with tail sliding and door banging.Ben held a 3 lap lead heading into the final bracket from a hard charging Tony and when the power switched off Tony passed Ben for the win by less than a car length. The below photo shows the winning distance between Tony’s blue Alfa and Ben’s white Alfa. Tony.A
Two races were held last night during Happy Hour for the BRM Group 2 Sedans. The first race was a race long battle between Tony and Ben with Ben leading for most of the race until the last couple of seconds when Tony passed on the back straight to win by a couple of feet, both on 131 laps.Leah was next with 121 and Fred with 112.The second race was not quite as close and was a bit of a crash fest but that was because of the close side by side racing rather than single car crashes.Tony won with 116 Laps from Ben with 111,Leah 105 and Fred 99.If anyone is interested in joining in the fun but don’t have a car there is loan cars available. Tony.A
We held two fun races for BRM Group 2 sedans on the small four lane track during Happy Hour. The first race saw many close battles as at times all four cars were running in a group for lap after lap with old school door banging sideways action.Ben held the lead for most of the race only to be overtaken by Tony in the last minute in a close finish.Tony won with 120 laps from Ben on 118.Leah and Fred had a great race long battle which Leah won with 107 laps to Fred’s 105.The second race was a handicap race and Fred took off into an early lead being chased hard by Leah whilst Ben and Tony had a great battle of their own.The little kink off the back straight heading into the donut was the scene of some carnage during the race at times involving a battle pack of three cars.Through all the carnage Tony won with 125 laps followed by Ben on 120,Fred with 11 and Leah with 104.Each week the racing gets better and now all four drivers are able to complete 30+ laps for a 3 minute heat and getting under 5 seconds for a lap.If more people want to join in the Thursday night fun they are more than welcome and if we can get more people to race we will move the racing to the eight lane track. Tony.A
Last Thursday during Happy Hour we ran a different format for our BRM Group 2 race. The format was a handicap race where Fred had a 5 lap head start on the field,Leah had a 3 lap head start on Ben and then Tony started 1 lap behind Ben.The race was a ripper with Fred leading until midway through the third bracket when Tony took over the lead.Ben and Leah was having a great battle with them changing positions every few laps.Tony ended up winning with 115 laps.Ben finished second on 109 getting that position in the last 10 seconds and Leah just pipping Fred for the final spot on the podium by only a couple of metres, one lap behind Ben on 108. Tony.A
After a bit of a break from racing the BRMs whilst concentrating on developing other cars we held a fun race last Thursday night during Happy Hour. The race was a handicap race with Fred getting a 10 lap head start,Leah had a 7 lap head start and Ben had a 3 lap head start whilst Tony was the chaser. The race was a cracker and the handicapping worked perfectly with Fred leading all the way until the last 30 seconds before being overtaken by Ben and Tony and the race was decided in the last 5 seconds when Ben crashed and Tony went on to win with 118 laps only a second ahead of Ben and Fred was third with 116 laps and Leah was fourth with 111.
