Hi guys, As provided for at the end of 2013 when we agreed the current regulations for 2014, we now have a chance to make certain amendments and clarifications to our rules. These amendments and clarifications will be incorporated into the 2014 regulations as at the end of March. Thereafter the regulations will again be locked until we get another chance as provided for, at the end of June. This is what we had agreed - quoted from the regulations: THESE REGULATIONS ARE NOW LOCKED FOR 2014. THE ONLY CHANGES FROM NOW ON WILL BE WHEN NEWLY RELEASED CARS HAVE BEEN PARITY TESTED FOR INCLUSION IN THESE REGULATIONS OR WHEN ANY SPECIFIC PART IS REPLACED BY SCALE AUTO WITHOUT NOTICE. THESE AMMENDMENTS (if required) WILL ONLY TAKE PLACE AT THE END OF MARCH, JUNE AND SEPTEMBER 2014. THESE TYPES OF CHANGES WILL ALWAYS BE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF CARS AND PARTS TO EVERYONE RACING IN AUSTRALIA - AVAILABILITY ON THE WWW WILL BE CONSIDERED ACCEPTABLE. So then, here is one such an amendments and clarification that I would like to suggest: - Minimum body weight be expressed as 55.0grams and minimum total weight as 190.0gram. The reason for this is so that we don't end up having the problem we had at Hornsby where a scale was provided which did not display any part of a gram. This meant that a car of 189,6gram was weighed and showed 190gram due to the scale rounding up to 190gram. In future event organisers will have to provide a scale which can weigh part of a gram and display it as such. Please let us have your comments, specific to this topic. Once we've updated the regulations at the end of March, this topic will be locked. Cheers, Jan
