  1. Hey everyone! Up for sale is a massive Scalextric Digital set up. No expense was spared for this set up, and before you ask - I will not be splitting anything unless the track is sold. From the ground up we have: Custom tables, when together measure 3500 x 1800 - storage underneath. (About $700 in materials - marine ply for the top and the storage at the bottom) Large track lay out with even length lanes, digital pit lane sensing, some scenery, boarders for ~90% of the track, plenty of digital lane changers (before every major turn, allowing you to pick the best line for each corner) RikoRocket usb cable connected to a PC, running both SSDC AND RCS64 (although you do have to flash the pit lane sensor to work with either program) Logitech Z5500 speakers (always have tunes going while we are racing) Power modded 6 car power base with an external power supply set to 15.5v and plenty of amps for high powered cars. 4 x TruSpeed controllers. 4K 44” TV with a roof mount. SPARE: 6 car power base AUX/USB cable Pit lane sensor, as well as spare track. In this price I will include 4 x digital ready slot cars to start you off, and if the track sells I will list my collection, and the track purchaser will get first pick. Reason for sale - It hasn't been getting the attention it deserves, and other hobbies have taken over my garage and I need the space! Here is a video of the track before I made the pit lane 2 lanes - https://youtu.be/pNyRUVs5rUE Here is the Instagram page with some pics of the set up - https://www.instagram.com/tulip_raceway/ $3500 pick up Cheltenham VIC 3192. More than happy to have the track set up to try before you buy. And more than happy to answer any questions.
  2. Hi Guys, So the new MPD has a 3 axis accelerometer on board. And it’s included in telemetry. Hmmm interesting. The mind boggles over what can be done with this. So as you may have read we now use a revolutionary simple tap system to put the product into boot or DFU mode mode. No having to use controller. This saves around 3 steps. If the MPD is in a car then tap the car. If it’s in a lane change trackpiece just tap the track piece. So easy. Next is ghost cars. A record/playback ghost car car that uses G Forces in its algorithm to get the best lap tines possible. Next is damage simulation. Each accident you have will record damage according to the impact. Once you reach a certain amount of damage points your car must retire just like 1:1. Next is marshalling. Telemetry going back to the PC will allow the race software to determine which car was at fault with 100% accuracy and automatically apply penalties. It can differentiate between rear end (Y axis) and side collisions (X axis). Roll over detection is also possible. The system can tell if you’ve rolled your car using data on the Z axis, and the race software will act in accordance to your pre configured penalties. So there you go. Digital slot cars just keep getting better and better. I can’t wait for the real time tacho next. Rick
  3. Racing has been going pretty well here in Auckland. We have switched from SSD to oXigen and we have 7 regulars on Wed nights. We are racing GT3 cars with regulations similar to DiSCA GT3 Euro Series. The cars are magnless (of course). The main difference from DiSCA reg are the use of 17K Baby King/Baby Raport motors (the baby sprinter would be too much on this track) and instead of sponges we use NSR tyres. I wanted to give a go at videoing some of the sessions to show how we do digital slot racing up here. The first video below is the 5 min qualify session: we do qualify to set the grid for Race 1. The second video is Race 1: a 14 min endurance race. Our evening racing consists of four races of 14 min each. We use RCSO2 as a race management software which support fuel and tyre simulations: when we run out of fuel and/or tyres we go in the pitlane for a pit stop. I know that some of you might find the track calls annoying: this is the way we like it because instead of having spare people to marshal we are all actively racing which we think is the best way of using our time (who likes sitting there and marshal!). The videos show the racing this Wed evening when only 5 of us could make it. With 7 drivers we are almost at capacity on this track. This means that if we get more people to join us we might switch to team racing in which case, we can use the spare team mates as marshals. The videos were captured on a phone clamped on a vice on top of a shelf so the quality is not the best. Qualify Race 1 if you are in the Auckland area and would like to try your hand at this sort of racing, let me know. We have spare controllers and cars.
  4. 5. Hi All I am introducing you ADSR, a small club that focuses on Digital slot racing. We are currently racing on a ~22m Scalextric Sport track, with 7 lane changers and double-lane pitlane. Here is a picture of the actual track We use a Race Management Software called RCS64 that gives us fuel/tyres/weather simulations during the race. We have been running scalextric GT3, but now we started a new class based on Carrera DTMs: I have put a spec together (you should have seen it on Mark's news letter) and it is giving us very close racing like the real thing. The track can be converted in less than 5 min in running the oXigen system, the digital solution by Slot.it. I think we are the first club in NZ to run this system in a competitive manner. We are still learning how to fully take advantage of it. For this, we are running a Carrera Cup, using the fantastic NSR porsche GT3: We run on Saturday morning and we have controllers and cars to loan to visitors. So if you are spending a weekend in Auckland and would like a go at digital let me know. In the near future (let's say next couple of months) I would like to organise a small enduro for teams running slot.it group C. We will provide the cars (two porsches vs two Lancia LC2), chips and controllers. The idea would be to have 8 to 10 racers organised in 4 teams and run a 3 hours races. We will be using fuel and tyre simulations. This means that it will be a no stop race: drivers will be changed when the car is in the pit for fueling up and/or changing tyres. I am planning this as a Sunday event to be run at the end of June/beginning of July. It would be really cool if drivers from other clubs could join us or event enter a team. Do not worry for cars/chips/controller: we will provide all of that. Just be there and race! ;-) Again if there is any interest let me know. You can use this thread to express your interest. cheers
  6. Hi guys, I have recently sold my scalextric digital set up to make room for the next project a routed digital track using slot it oxigen system. I have found most of the info I need but was hoping to clarify some things. Do you need anything more than the lane change driver to activate the lane change solenoids? Can you tell me how the magnets for start / finish line and pit lane are placed into the track? How does the system tell the difference between the two?
  7. Hello, I have a problem with my Carrera Digital 132 track, specifically the pace car function. No issues programming the car and when I press the pace car button again the pace car starts taking every lane change as it should including the pit lane entry. Problem is it doesn't stop but rather drives straight out and keeps on going. I do have AKS set up on both the pit entry and exit and suspect it may have something to do with the issue. Fuelling and lap counting functions of the pit lane operate fine. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. Hello. After nearly a year, I finally published the new application, Slot Car Diary, wich will become the ideal complement for Slot Car Trainer. With this application you will be able to store all data of your cars, tracks, drivers, builds, spares and races in a centralized repository. HOW? Type your track (or tracks) details. Define your profile and the profiles of your family and/or friends Insert details of your stock cars. Review the predefined list of spares. Prepare your custom builds by adding spares to your stock cars. After a race, input all details (who, when, where, how...). NOTE: The final release will include integration with Slot Car Trainer for importing its results. DOUBTS, PROBLEMS, SUGGESTION? Write me! Don't hesitate to contact me. I'll help you as much as I can. WHAT YOU WILL GET? A centraliced point for storing all your information. Evaluate how good is a build against another. Know who is the fastest driver in your group. See what is the car with more customizations. Any other thing proposed by you You can download it for free from Google Play. Test it and comment any thing you think that can be improved. Ah!, If you clic a banner for helping, better than good Best Regards and Happy New Year.
  9. I have the 6 car digital base, pit lane game, 6 controllers, 10 cars and about 250 feet of track all brand new and ready to rock. I would like the latest "firmware" and the ability to run all of the cool software programs I have heard about. I also need the cables to hook 6 car base to computer. Do I need to get my base sent somewhere to be modded? How do I hook up the base to computer? What software do I need and where do I get it? Sorry for all the questions, but I figured someone could teach me in 10 minutes what it would take me 3 days of reading posts to figure out. Thanks for your help! ndfanatix
  10. Hi all, I will be starting my 4th track in a bit and am at the moment brewing up ideas. The plans are making a routed track and using something like oxigen or scorpius to Digify it. It will at least be 2 laned Asphalt and will have a single lane looped rally section attached to it. Size will be 1:24 and 1:32 compatible. That means i will have to be able to exit the asphalt and enter the rally lane, and should have the choice of staying on the rally track doing rounds or choose to change lane and enter the asphalt 2 lane again. Lot's of ideas just not sure how to accomplish them all yet. But that's only a matter of time
  11. Hi All, My Name is Todd, I run Todd's Party Hire in Perth. I am looking at setting up a mobile track to hire out for kids birthday parties, corporate team-building etc. My budget is $1500-$2000 I want to start with digital as this would be a new experience for many adults and I can fit more cars on a smaller track. Has anybody tried a digital setup for hire? The analog ones are huge. I am considering using Ninco as they allow up to 8 cars at one, compared with Scalectric's 6. I know Ninco is not as popular here, but is there any reason not to use it? ( I don't need interoperability with other enthusiasts) Would 4 lanes be enough to run 8 cars at once? Or should I go 8 lanes into 6 into 4 into 2 or a combination thereof? I intend on mounting the track on 2 or 3 sections of plywood, each no larger than 1.5x3m, (so i can fit it in my van) with only minor joining required on site. I want to buy 10 cars ( 2 spare) , 8 controllers, transformers and enough track for a decent layout. Would it be more cost effective to buy a master track kit and one starter kit plus the extra controllers/ cars i need? Or one master track kit and several starter kits? How many transformers are required to run 8 cars? What sort of cars should I use? Ninco only, or other brands re-chipped? I don't need to win races or have rare models, just have different styles/ colours with even racing. Durability is also a factor. Would magnets make it more durable/ usable or less? Is there a way to nobble the equipment so small children can play, or adults don't thrash the cars? Finally, can any shop owners out there do me a deal? I can offer sponsorship on my track, so you may gain some customers once I introduce them to the hobby. Thanks for you help, Todd. PS Sorry about re-posting it from the welcome forum, but I wasn't getting anybody familiar with digital replying.
