belles51
STEP 1 (PICS 1-2) USE A DREMEL OR OTHER ROTARY TO CHANGE THE TOPS OF THE CONTROL TOWER TO AN OVAL SHAPE. STEP 2 (PIC 3) MAKE SURE LIGHT CONNECTION WILL PASS THROUGH WITHOUT BINDING. STEP 3 (PIC 4) REPAINT TOP OF CONTROL COUNTER...IF NEEDED AND DRY FIT THE SIGN. STEP 4 (PIC 5) FINISH ANY DETAILING, GLUE SIGN TOGETHER. P. S. I HAVE DONE THIS WITH A SMALL FLASHING SIGN THE LARGE ONES WORK JUST AS WELL. SlotsNZ
Nice one thanks Mark. Question: Do you have all your "tips" in any one place- or alternately have a record of thread addresses. eg, the "Milking station to tyre station re-engineering" - still my all time favourite piece of lateral thinking. gzminiz
Great idea. Where when are good places to meet up with other slot car guys in phx? I am from Mesa orig and my dad is getting into it so might be cool for him to hang out sometime. (now retired so the more hobbies the better!) belles51
Great idea. Where when are good places to meet up with other slot car guys in phx? I am from Mesa orig and my dad is getting into it so might be cool for him to hang out sometime. (now retired so the more hobbies the better!) good for your dad! retirement for me let me build my home track and all kinds of scenic accessories. last year we had a small informal group that raced at a prototype track every saturday at a bar and grille in tempe. we raced for a couple of months until all of the contract railing (no braid or tape) that the builder used mysteriously began popping up. no word on if vic is going to try again. there is a commercial track somewhere in mesa. speed sports has a scaley track in north phoenix. ist's amazing that the phoenix metro area of 5 million people has little or no interest in slots. growing up here there were 3 large commercial tracks in walking distance of my home in north cental phoenix. sorry i couldnt be of more help, mark Quote MARK......FROM THE ARIZONA DESERT
