HI Everyone , i`m just wondering how you find out the date of manfacture of a Carrera Digital 132 set. I have recently bought a new D132 GT Heroes set from Nulla ( Matt ) of THE SLOT CAR FACTORY @ Taren Point ( thanks mate , the system is brilliant after a couple a little teething problems ) as i`m wondreing about the compatabilty with the older pro - x systems - lap counter , pit lanes etc. I`m told the D132 manufactured after 2009 are not compatable but the sets before 2009 are. As the set was purchased only 2 weeks ago , i asume the set is post 2009. It would be nice to find out though. Jason.

G'day Jason

Welcome to Auslot Forum. I hope the track and cars are giving you guys lots of fun.

The GT Heroes set is a '09 (3rd Generation) Carrera digital D132 set which is not compatible with Pro-X.

1st Generation - Pro-X -Not compatible with D132

2nd Generation - First D132 - Compatible with Pro-X and D132

3rd Generation - Second D321 - Not Compatible with Pro-X

4th Generation - Third D132 - No release date yet

Regards

Mat

Why race on any old figure 8 track when you could be racing on a track designed to replicate a piece of Australian motorsport history like Oran Park Raceway.

HI Matt , thanks for your help again. Weare having loads of fun with it mate. So does this mean that the std track pieces are ok to use but the lane changes, lap timer, and black box are incompatable or are the lap timer and lane changer track pieces ok to use , just not the black box ? Jason

The standard track pieces are good for all types of digital and analogue Carrera 1/32 and 1/24 tracks. Anything with Pro-X on the box is very old stock and has been sitting around for years. It can only be used with the Pro-X Black Box. The current Lane changers (ref. 30343, 30345, 30350, 30351 and 30347) and the current Electornic lap counter (ref. 30342) are compatible with with all D132 black boxes (2nd, 3rd and 4th generations). However the current Pit stop lanes (ref. 30346 and ) will be replaced when the 4th generation black boxes comes out. Also current wireless controllers I believe will not be compatible with the new 4th generation Black box.
