Billy_Cart
Well done Dave, Impressed at the speed & quality of your build, it took me longer to get our plastic track up & running. Ember
Ditto with the congratulations. Experience shows in the speed and sureness of how it all went together. Any idea of lap length? It seems smaller with a car on it for size reference. Quote Computers. They'll never catch on. Davnic74
Thanks Guy's & Gal, Shane & Phil, for some silly reason this track has been so much easier to build, everything has just fallen into place. The missus doesnt mind as it gets me out of the house for a whole Saturday, i just came in from the garage been out there most of the day.. Ember, The lane length is around 14 mtrs, not very long but it suits the purpose (kept the cost of braid right down), the straight is 4 mtrs long and the overall lenght is 4.8 mtrs.. Some of todays progress, sanding and painting the borders tomorrow, just need to get some bendy Mdf from work to finish the elevated section. The missus doesnt mind as it gets me out of the house for a whole Saturday, i just came in from the garage been out there most of the day.. So when is she available for 'Slot-Wife Training'? A couple of sheets of 3mm MDF will do nicely for the bendy bits. aussieslotter
Love the third dimension youve added, great stuff. Quote On chips, we have simply too many to create a video-log. As mentioned earlier in this thread, some were dead-on-arrival, some had no brakes, some had a range with the of about 30cm, some when hooked up to a light kit had only rear lights but not front lights (light kit and LEDs worked perfectly when tested with another chip) and so much more. www.scorpiuswireless.com

Davnic74
Good to see Dave, I hear it's caretaker is missing it. Thats for sure, Greg did me a huge favour by letting me store it in his garage for 8 months. He enjoyed the use of the track so when i get some time im building him one. It's good to see the track in place in its new home. It certainly looks like you're not the only one who missed it. Yep the kid's did miss it although they had a track at my parents place but it was used as a storage bench most of the time... mainly my stuff for the new house . Davnic74
Well been a while, but tonight i start the scenery... Eric (gzminiz) dropped by for a race Friday arvo and gave me his scenery bits and pieces left from his track. Which added to the boxes of trees and other scenic stuff i have has inspired me to get off my ass.!! Truthly i have just finshed landscaping/building decks for the new house so now im allowed in the garage to play...
