Hi guys!

We would like to show you the adaptation of a 'Saab 96/V4 drived by S. Blomqvist on Sweden Rally in 1972' with a Tecno Slot 1/43 Chassis. There are 10 sequences, each one with 6 pictures.

We hope you enjoy with that,

I'm amazed that no-one has commented on this!

That is a very lovely little car and not only a brilliant piece of engineering in modifying the chassis but also an excellent bit of photography. How did you create the six-shot groups with borders?

I was a big fan of Stig back in those days and even bought a Saab V4 myself. What a great car to drive! I wish there was a model as good as that in 1:32 scale.

I think more about slot cars now than I did about sex when I was sixteen.

Really nice model you have. yes Stig has been seen many times in the forest rally in this model V4 as we call it here in the north.

But even rallycross in the mid 70's drove Stig and Per

successfully Saab V4. They were often in the A-final with their Saabs

and managed to go from the engine more powerful cars and win the A-finals.

But a very nice model of Stig car driven in the Swedish Rally

in the early 70's.

Christer

Thanks Kart, :D

I am also a fan of Mr. Stig...

You can make these kind of "collages" in Picnik site, but they close the site next 19th

You gotta admire the car though. If that was 1:32 I'd snap it up.

1:43 seems to have huge potential though. The good bits from 1:32 with the driving style and detail, with less space required to have a track. Even better now there's other options coming out for cars rather than the 'toy' standard frequently seen. Bravo.

Computers. They'll never catch on.

There are some brilliant 1:43 model manufacturers now entering the slot car market in this scale. They have a massive range of cars that they can produce as the shells are already made. You can 'dress-up' your car parks and pits with them too. In the car magazines that I have there is always a page devoted to the latest model cars. Ususally 1:10, 1:18, 1:24, and 1:43 scale, but rarely 1:32 and when it is then it's a slot car!.

Misinterpretation/misreading of the forum user information layout beside the post Graham.

No problem. I thought you may have known that my father introduced kart racing to Europe. Yes, really!

Beautiful. Only 1 concern and I say this tongue in cheek as a former owner of a V4 with downdraft Weber and SAH twin exhausts. Has there ever been a rally car with hub caps. I know it disguises the wheels but if we are counting rivets.... :P

Outside the box looking in.

Having a cold drink on hot day with a few friends is nice, but having a hot friend on a cold night after a few drinks - PRICELESS.
