wwwace
Hi all, The new layout for the Plafit Masters Track for the APC 2012 has been released : For comparison the 2010 track is shown here : The direction of racing has still to be decided, also where the start/finish position will be. As soon as I have the info I will add it to this thread. Two more photos during the track alteration at the Plafit factory in Yokohama : The track will soon be on its way to Brisbane. Garry J
Lots of marshalls needed for that one. The race director will need a bigger whip. Quote Cheers, Garry J Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill
first corner crash
Lots of marshalls needed for that one. The race director will need a bigger whip. LOL think you are right. 8 should be enough but i did count 9 possible spots. I get the feeling it will be a case of if your not racing you are marshalling. Lets hope there are at least 16 entrants per class. The track looks more technical and more of a drivers track than the previous layout. Sill at 51 metres i doubt anyone is reaching for their small pinions just yet. Not thrilled with the kink going under the bridge. Could be very expensive for time if you have an off there but maybe the track will run left to right and it won't be an issue. Ratracer
Great looking track is it ferridor or black gloss paint? With the photos being taken at the Plafit factory is there a Plafit website? Garry J
Ray, It's made from a laminated board with a slightly textured surface. Think kitchen benchtop. Grip was OK last time, once we spray gooed it. Quote Cheers, Garry J Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill

axman
Wow, what a great track and opportunity. Anybody that lives for slotcars should not miss this event... Australia is a long way from the Slotcar mainstream and only a hanfull of our top drivers have ever had the luxury of going to International and American events with sponsorship or travel incentives.. The rest of us have to pay the big bucks. Here we have the unique situation where an international track is coming to us... For just the cost of a local airfare ( or a few tanks of fuel ) you can race against Australia and Japans best with the same car everyone else has. Werner and Plafit bought the first version of this track to Australia two years ago for a great event. Virtual unknown drivers to the National scene had some outstanding results. Here's your chance, so what are you waiting for... See you at the APC Kim Edited July 25, 2012 by axman

Guest jazzbell
Hi Werner, Can we have a diagram on hand controller wiring. Or do the interstaters just need to run a extension on what we have. I believe you run female plugs on your controllers up in Queensland. Thanks - Cam ....There are two controller connection choices with the Plafit Masters Track. 1) The "American System" with three banana plugs in sequence red-black-white (from left to right). 2) The QLD System with round earth pin sockets where you need a round earth pin plug on your controller with the colors as shown below. Of course with the wire colors it also depends on the brand of controller you are using. For that you have to refer to your controller manual. All practice and racing will be done on 12 volts track power. Cheers Werner
sticks
Hi Werner I Think at the last two APCs the 1/32s,Group Cs, Mini Zs and Cam Ams run on 13volts and the F1 and JGTs ran at !2v I think there was a switch on the Plafit master Track to change the voltage.
