Thanks guys...

The only plus side of no money, is it takes a while to build up stupid levels of anything...

Anyway, at the moment, I'm after a larger variety of track pieces, not cars... lol.

Who am i kidding, I want IT ALL...

The collection will grow. Even with no money, it will somehow grow.

Computers. They'll never catch on.

I think that if I gave my wife a slotcar for Valentines I would be murdered...

Unfortunately for me, she hates them...

Still, at least she lets me ride the slots...

So much for no money stopping me getting cars...

Picked up eight new cars for racing... 1x Fly, 1x Ninco, 2x Scaley and 4x SCX... They were just too damn cheap... 2 were slightly damaged (missing wheel on one and superglued wheel on the other), but all up, an amazing deal...

Thanks Heaps Jorgo.

Picked up the 934 to run in the Porsche cup, and then found out that I could run the Fly which ran much better out of the box (albiet the secondhand box)... The Fly was originally destined for ThunderCar Class

On the plus side, the Burton 934 is a '76 model, just like me...

As the 934 is a rally car, it came with Ninco's rally suspension on all four corners.

This car was troublesome at best to drive. You had to feed the power on extremely smoothly or you would get massive axle hop in the rear...

It also had about 40g of lead glued to the bottom to try and stop it tipping over too.

Ended up getting some sort of handling out of it by disabling the shocks.

Interestingly I had to set the front axle at maximum down travel, and the rear axle at maximum up travel.

I'm not even sure that it now complies with the rules, so I'm thankful that it's all reversable...

Hmmm, I think I need a little more variety in my cars... Almost half are 'duplicates' albiet different colours...

2x Identical Jags, 2x Identical Fords, 2x Identical Generic Lemans, and 2x Almost Identical Lambos...

Then there's

2x Porsches, and 2 Seats

At least there's only

1x Vauxhal (Police), 1x Fiat, and 1x Sunbeam

Picked up a Carrera Evolution GT350 Mustang Shell / Chassis today...

1-32%20Cars%20-%20New%2024-02-2013.jpg

Don't have many spares yet, so I robbed the pinion and crown off of an Artin 1/43 6v chassis, changed the carrera guide for a scaley one, added wires and a dying pioneer motor, and hey presto, it now circulates the track...

Pretty damn slowly at the moment, but it does go... Need to change the motor to see how wrong the gearing may be... Also need to raise the guide as the front wheels sit in the air...

Forgot to post up the latest few cars to my collection, so here they are...

1-32%20Cars%20-%20New%2001-04-2013.jpg

First up is a Spirit Courage C65... It is in desperate need of tyres. Very drifty, and quite quick in a straight line... Needed a lot of chassis sanding. Needed a few spacers on the body posts, but now both the body and the motor 'pod' (more like backbone as it includes the guide) float freely.

Second is a Scaley Digital Audi TT. Can't have too many digital cars... lol. It goes well, but will keep it's magnet for now (One of 4 cars to do so in my collection)

Next is a Fly Man SuperTruck... A really really big thanks to Peter for this one... It did arrive in pieces, missing it's motor, guide and had a stripped spur. I took the front axle from one of my Lambo's and transplanted it. Pinion was sourced from an el-cheapo rc car. Guide is a SCX F1 guide. As I don't have the correct truck motor, I've used a spare BWA 15k@12v one with a spacer.

Still on the lookout for a NC-2 Black motor, or a Fly super trucks motor. Both are 15k@12v and about 300g of torque.

Lastly, we have a Ninco Porsche 550 "Little Bastard" James Dean car. Removed the magnet, added 10g either side of the motor, and 5g in the boot. This is such a pleasure to drive... And the cigarette in the mouth is just so James Dean...

Anyway, that will probably be the last cars till my birthday in 3 months as there are just too many damn bills at this time of year for us...

Yep, definitely agree... Of the Ninco Classics, the 550 was the one I liked the most. The James Dean one happened to be on special, and the lack of a helmet really fits in with the classic feel in my mind... Oh, and the way it handles so nicely does help the liking process along though...

Picked up a few more cars... Much to my wifes disgust...

A pair of Ninco Audi TT's, a Spirit BMW 2002 and a Spirit VW Golf...

Interestingly, both of the Spirit's changed very little with the magnet removed...

The GT350 Mustang is a Carrera, and was actually a clock...

I bought it from the Dump... lol.

As it was a clock, it didn't have any braids, wires, motor, pinion or crown gear...

Dump as in Rubbish Dump, where people throw away stuff that doesn't fit in a bin.

The rubbish dump's here have a 'recycling' section where they sell items that have been dumped, but are in decent condition...

Occasionally, they have some good stuff there...
