Qld State Endurance Championships 2014

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

The annual Queensland event will take place in SE Qld over the first weekend of May 2014. Please reserve the 3rd and 4th of May 2014 for this. The rules will be whatever is finally decided as at the end December 2013. Further details about the format, number of teams and motor to be used will be published in 2014.

However, any racers or Teams that want to secure early entry and reserve their spots - please PM me or post your names/entries here on the forum.

Finally another reminder to keep an eye on the 2013 section of this forum to participate in possible rule discussions for the 2014 racing year. In the meantime enjoy what is left of 2013 and all the best to you and yours for the festive season.

Cheers,

Jan

Jason,

The event format will be decided later. A few exciting alternatives are being tossed around at the moment, but it will all depend on the entries we get. Having said that, we will publicise the format well before the event.

I will put you down for possible Sprint racing at this time and also add you to the Jokers Team for Endurance racing.

Thanks for entering.

Good one Kim, will be great to have you guys run at the event. Are you guys going to entice any interstaters to join you? So far we have two Vic guys coming up and I'm working on some of the NSW hotshots to come and join in.

If we get the right number of entries, this is going to be a special event that will be remembered for a long, long time.

Thanks for entering.

Hi Jan

Yes please put Mark and I in.

Thanks Bruce

Bruce my man,

Good stuff, are you and Mark teaming up or just entering as individuals. Either way, it will be great to have you two racing.

Wow, the Queenslanders are lining up.......again. Come on you other guys, let's have some entries, we want to sort out the two day format.

Thanks for entering boys.

Grant and Gerald,

Thanks for your entry guys - please remember you need to be three or four drivers per team for these events.

The available spots are filling fast. This is great and will help us to finalise our format for the two days of racing very quickly.

Had some more interstate interest as well and hope the guys will be able to commit soon.

Cheers,

Jan

Garry and Greg,

Thought Phoenix would be up for another challenge - pity your number one driver can't make it......lol. Then again, the rest of us don't mind, it only improves our chances.

Hi all,

The entries are stacking up, I've also had Paul NZ and Ashley S PM me to add their names to the list - thanks for entering guys.

So far the following teams are coming together - Phoenix, NSR, Jokers, Gold Coast Eagles, KiwiAudi, Narangba #1 and Narangba #2.We will probably have to limit the entries to 8 teams at this rate, so hurry if you want to enter a team. Once we have all the teams locked in the two day format can be worked out.

This is going to be an event to remember, with some interesting twists to it - you would not want to miss out. In fact it is reminding me a lot of my first experience at the World Endurance Champs in Trier.....

Cheers,

Jan

Paul,

Glad you got into a good team, mate. Gerald has come through and named the team as KiwiAudi - I guess that is an indication of the Scale Auto car you guys will be running.

Thanks for entering guys, look forward to racing against you.

Cheers,

Greg and I are teaming up Jan, but no Dave. Working on a 3rd team member.

Change of plans.... I'm in!

David,

Fantastic to hear...the Phoenix force is now complete!!

Thanks for entering, will be great to race with you again.

I'm really concerned about Kiwi Audi and Team NSR.

Both names seem very pre mature......I don't think the handout motors will be NSR's and Team Keeewee Audi means the body has been chosen months in advance.

A great name like the GOLD COAST EAGLES represents strength and power across the full spectrum. :D

Future comments on the Narangbaaa Nomads/ Jokers and Pheonicks are at the editors desk now.... B)

Watch this space. :P

Well Bruce Team NSR could stand for Noel,Shane & Ringin so I apologise for the letters that the team drivers names start with.

Secondly there maybe an NSR hand out motor in the LMP class ???

Thirdly this is motor racing not Rugby union as I believe your team name is the name of the Gold Coasts rugby side.

So once you work out whether your motor racing or playing footy I'm sure either your try scoring will improve or your slot driving either way bring on the QLD State endurance champs or the rugby match.

I have been given the privelege of driving with Andrew Bartholomew and Simon Wakelin at this event...thank you gentlemen.

Hopefully I can dial in quickly and hold my own against some great drivers as it will be a quick trip for me.

From what I understand, Jan's track has a few tricky bits and will be quite a test.

Cheers,
