Vinno
Just thought I would post an update to let everyone know the old NASCAR track at Penrith has now been replaced with two routed 1/32 scale tracks. One track is 6 lanes and the other is 4 lanes. They should be good for some club racing and general driving at happy hour on Friday night or just about any time you want to head down. Looking forward to a run myself but a busy weekend may see me having to wait a week or so. Anyway this picture is from their Facebook page for those who don't use Facebook. shadow_rusty
Both tracks are quite nice... My personal preference is the smaller of the 2 tracks... Quite rewarding... (Although I prefer the surface on the Large one) Note: The scaleauto 1/24's also run well on them... ps. Nice work Andrew (32Coupe)... 32coupe
I feel like a proud first time father, I have the biggest smile ever, I am so proud of what I managed to build with those two tracks, they look great now that they are installed. It looks like I will have to take a road trip and come up for a race some time. I hope you all enjoy using them as much as I enjoyed building them. Cheers Andrew A man without a woman is like a neck without a pain.

Sports Racer
How ironic. It was the Western Sydney guys that got me back into slot cars 14 years ago. A couple of years ago I got my brother hooked and now he's building commercial tracks for the Western Sydney guys to race on and get more people interested. Tracks look fantastic side by side. That should be your business photo Andrew, to show people what you're capable of building. Let us know when the 1st enduro is on and I'll see if we can get a few of the Canberra guys to show you how to race. A 5 hr Scaleauto race across both tracks would be awesome. That would allow 10 teams to be involved. Cheers Paul Edited July 25, 2014 by Sports Racer May the downforce be with you.
Vinno
Might be an idea Paul glad to have two tracks only 5 minutes from my place. I'm going to go this afternoon and have a run.
Ember
Nice tracks. The front one looks rather like one of the permutations I've been playing with recently. Nice work. What's the lane spacing? Computers. They'll never catch on. slots
What did you use for the track surface, Andrew? Stu Old racers race harder
32coupe
The lane spacings are 100mm. The 6 laner is semi gloss with magnabraid and the 4 laner is ferrodore with copper braid. A man without a woman is like a neck without a pain.
Sports Racer
Different surfaces? How do they compare in grip for normal (Slot.it, Ninco, Scalex etc) tyres? May the downforce be with you.
jimmi
I had a run on Friday night on the big snake and I used slot-its, MJK & Nsr and they all worked great? I was very happy with the grip level & Love the layout aswell
neil
I had orig. slotit tyres on & loved the sound of the car coming out & over the bridge/straight....... all motors sound good at full song.
32coupe
HI Paul I was a little bit suprised at how good the grip was on the semigloss. The F22's were at a minor disadvantage. Tony is going to build a track in his shed and we are goint to paint it in the semigloss, after all, variety is the spice of life. A man without a woman is like a neck without a pain.
