KYOSHO MINI-Z GT RULES

 

 

1.0 BODY

1.1. Only Mini-Z Hard Plastic GT Bodies which are listed on the official body list are

allowed to be used. No street cars, race cars only which have to feature at least

two race numbers and some typical modern GT Car race sponsor logo decals.

1.2. White unpainted body kits can be used however all kit parts have to be included

during assembly. Body has to be painted and decaled.

1.3. All body detail parts like mirrors, windscreen wipers, wings etc. have to be

retained on the body at all times.

1.4. Rear wings can be rubber mounted. Aftermarket mirrors are allowed.

1.5. Ford GT has to have rear wing (AR-086 or AR-090) fitted.

1.6. The body holders (both sides and front) for the Kyosho display chassis can be

removed and sanded. No other part of the body can be sanded, lightened or

modified in any way.

1.7. All wheel arches are not allowed to be sanded and/or widened.

1.8. A two piece driver interior (vacuum formed with separate drivers head) is to be

used. The interior has to cover all windows and open cockpits. No chassis parts

are allowed to be visible. Half sized interiors are allowed and rear window plus

both rear side windows can be painted black from the inside.

 

 

2.0 CHASSIS

2.1. Plafit Excel 1300 and Plafit Super24 1700 only (no 1700G, GTC, GTX and SLP versions).

2.2. All Plafit 1300 and 1700 chassis system parts can be used except 1700G and

SLP parts. Plafit 3309, B and C in combination with 1705G/S/K can be used.

2.3. No chassis parts mixing between 1300 and 1700 chassis systems.

2.4. Chassis has to be adjusted according to the body and its dimensions, making

sure that all wheels are covered by the body when viewed from above.

2.5. Chassis set-up has to be done only within its design limits and only with the

original accessories i.e. changing spring tension or the amount of chassis/body

movement etc.

2.6. All original mounting points and basic configuration must be retained.

2.7. No chassis modifications other then within its design limits.

2.8. No soldering allowed to hold motor into position. Only motor screws are to be

used.

2.9. Body tape or plastic strip may be used to hold lead wires in place.

2.10. Additional weight may be added as long as it is placed on top of the chassis.

2.11. Chassis springs, spacers and/or additional screws and nuts may be substituted,

added or removed.

2.12. Plafit flat body mounts can be used on both chassis in their intended position

either as additional weight or for body mounting.

2.13. No mount plates protruding into wheel arches however minor re-shaping of the

flat body mount plates for proper body fitment is allowed.

2.14. No Traction Magnets.

2.15. Chassis blue-printing is allowed. No excessive sanding for weight reduction !

 

 

3.0 GROUND CLEARANCE

3.1. Minimum 1.0mm under the entire chassis including gear.

 

 

4.0 FRONT AXLE

4.1. Solid 3mm one piece non-independent only.

4.2. Any 3 x 6mm oilite axle bushings or 3 x 6mm axle ball bearings.

 

 

5.0 FRONT WHEELS

5.1. Any 3mm axle diameter aluminium wheels. Minimum diameter including tire is

21.0mm.

5.2. Minimum wheel/tire width is 7mm. No independent front wheels allowed.

5.3. Any black tires, sponge or rubber.

5.4. To retain true-to-scale appearance the wheel diameter is determined by the

individual wheel arch size of the body used.

 

 

6.0 REAR WHEELS

6.1. Any 3mm axle diameter Aluminum Wheels. Minimum diameter including tire is

22.0mm.

6.2. Plafit Black Magic Sponge Tires, Plafit Rubber Tires (labelled) as well as

Scaleauto ProComp3 Sponge Tires are allowed to be used.

6.3. Use of Goo and/or any other tire softener, liquids etc. is not allowed. Cleaning with

Tape or Shellite only is permitted.

6.4. To retain true-to-scale appearance the wheel diameter is determined by the

individual wheel arch size of the body used.

 

 

 

7.0 WHEEL INSERTS

7.1 3D Wheel inserts have to be used at all times.

 

 

8.0 REAR AXLE

8.1. Solid 3mm metal axle only.

8.2. Any 3 x 6mm oilite axle bushings or 3 x 6mm axle ball bearings.

 

 

9.0 GEARS

9.1. Any plastic 50 pitch spur gears for 3mm axles.

 

 

10.0 PINION

10.1. Any 50 pitch.

 

 

11.0 MOTOR

11.1. 13D Plafit Fox 4 motor

11.2. Original lettering "Fox 4"has to be visible.

11.3. Sealed Motors are not to be opened or modified in any way.

11.4. Any lead wire.

 

 

12.0 WEIGHT

12.1. Minimum total car weight is 165g.

1/24 Plafit Historic Can-AM HISTORIC CAN-AM and SPORTS CARS NOTE: Concourse will be judged but there will be no points system for results.

 

1.0 BODY

 

1.1. Only 1:24 true-to-scale vacuum formed Lexan Bodies representing historic Can-Am Cars as well as historic Sports Cars and Sports Prototype Cars listed on the 2012 Official Body Homologation List. No other bodies are allowed.

1.2. Minimum body material thickness is .010".

1.3. Cut out and mounting of body has to reflect the actual 1:1 car.

1.4. The presentation of the body (paint design, decals and additional detail parts) has to be as realistic as possible to a 1:1 car of this time.

1.5. A minimum two piece driver interior (vacuum formed with separate drivers head) to be used. Interior has to cover all windows and open cockpits. No chassis parts are allowed to be visible.

 

 

2.0 CHASSIS

 

2.1. Plafit Excel 1300 or 1300U as well as Plafit Super24 1700C.

2.2. Chassis has to be adjusted according to the body and its dimensions used making sure that all wheels and the guide are covered by the body when viewed from above.

2.3. Maximum polar length (distance back side of rear axle to centre of guide pivot point) is 114mm.

2.4. Chassis set-up has to be done only within its design limits and only with the original accessories i.e. changing spring tension or the amount of chassis/body movement.

2.5. Nuts, screws, springs and washers are free to choose.

2.6. All original mounting points and basic configuration must be retained.

2.7. No further chassis modifications other then within its design limits.

2.8. No soldering allowed to hold motor into position. Only motor screws are to be used.

2.9. Body tape or plastic strip may be used to hold lead wires in place.

2.10. Additional weight may be added as long as it is placed on top of the Chassis and is not protruding outside the chassis edges.

2.11. Chassis blue-printing is allowed. No excessive sanding for weight reduction !

2.12. The Front Chassis Plate Excel 1304C can be shortened only above the two long holes which fit the Front Axle Bracket in order to fit low-front bodies. However both long holes must be retained entirely.

2.13. All 1300 Excel Chassis system parts can be used except 1307C, -CB, -CC, -CD (Flat Body Mount system) and 1314B (front Chassis Weight Plate).

2.14. Only the 1700C Super24 Chassis RTR standard parts can be used which are : 1701J Main Chassis Plate, silver 1703B Guide Holder, long 3309C Bearing Holder +1.0mm, front 1705G T-Plate, blue 1706 Body Mount Plates 1707 Body Slide Mounts 1708 Motor Bracket 1709B Bearing Holder +0.5mm, rear 1710 Subframe 1711 Motor Stay

2.15. Only these additional 1700 Super24 Chassis system parts can be used : 1701 Main Chassis Plate 1703 Guide Holder 1709 Bearing Holder, rear 1709C Bearing Holder +1.0mm 1709D Bearing Holder +1.5mm 1710B Subframe +6mm 1710C Subframe +12mm 1710J Subframe, blue 1710T Subframe with Adjuster 1710BT Subframe +6mm with Adjuster 1710CT Subframe +12mm with Adjuster 1717A Chassis Stabilizer Set Type A

2.16. Flat Body Mounts cannot be used.

5.1. Any Plafit 17mm diameter Alu Wheels. Minimum tire diameter is 22mm

5.2. Any Hard Sponge Tires non-sealed.

5.3. Minimum tire width is 7mm. No independent front wheels allowed.

 

 

6.0 REAR WHEELS / TIRES

 

6.1. Any Plafit 17mm diameter Alu Wheels. Minimum tire diameter is 24mm.

6.2. Plafit BM Sponge Tires only, maximum tire width is 16mm.

6.3. Use of Goo and/or any other tire softener, liquids etc. is not allowed. Cleaning with Tape or Shellite only is permitted.

 

 

7.0 WHEEL INSERTS

 

7.1. 3D Wheel Inserts have to be used on all wheels at all times.

 

 

8.0 REAR AXLE

 

8.1. Solid metal 3mm axles only.

8.2. Any 3mm oilite bushings or ball bearings.

10.0 PINION

 

10.1. Any 50 pitch 10 T only.

 

 

11.0 MOTOR

 

11.1. Only 13D Plafit Fox 4 Motor.

11.2. Original lettering "PLAFIT FOX 4China" has to be visible.

11.3. Sealed Motors are not to be opened or modified in any way.

11.4. Any lead wire.

OPAR- Open Australian Prototype Racing

 

This will be a hand out motor event. NSR evo 25K

 

11 pinion will be used for this event.

 

 

The 2015 OAPR LMP Specifications V2.0 - (acknowledging its origin being the 2012 OEPS Guidelines) (The proposed regulations have been altered and all changes are in RED).

 

OAPR – Open Australian Prototype Racing

 

1. DESCRIPTION

 

Any true 1/24 scale representation of a 1/1 LMP (Le Mans Prototype) car that has raced in the American Le Mans Series or the European Le Mans Series between 2008 and 2014.

All liveries must be of scaled down 1:1 appearance, however colour combinations and liveries from other modern (year 2000 to present) race cars may be used.

 

The Oreca Racing 'FLM' Formula Le Mans car is not classified as LMP1 or LMP2 in either the LMS or ALMS and therefore is not permitted to run in the OAPR. However, the Oreca 03 as raced in 2014 in LMP2 is allowed to run.

 

 

2. WEIGHTS and MEASUREMENTS

 

2.01 Minimum total weight: 160.00 grams

2.02 Maximum front spur: 83.00 mm

2.03 Maximum rear spur: 83.00 mm

2.04 Minimum ground clearance at the start of the race: 1.00 mm

2.05 Minimum ground clearance during and after the race: 0.40 mm

2.06 Minimum front rim outer diameter: Ø21.00 mm.

2.07 Minimum front wheel starting diameter at the start of the race: Ø25.20 mm

2.08 Minimum front wheel width 6.00 mm

2.09 Minimum front rim width 6.00 mm

2.10 Minimum width of front tyre contact area 6.00 mm

2.11 Maximum front wheel camber angle: 3.00°

2.12 Minimum rear rim outer diameter: Ø21.00mm.

2.13 Minimum rear wheel starting diameter at the start of the race: Ø 26.50 mm.

2.14 Maximum rear wheel diameter at any time: Ø 27.70 mm.

2.15 Rear wheel width and contact area always 13.00 mm – minimal rounding of edges are allowed.

2.16 Maximum width of main chassis plate: 78mm

 

 

3. MOTOR, GEAR AND PINION

 

3.01 The race motor will be the NSR 25Evo long can. Unopened and always with the wrapped label intact.

3.02 The spur gear is fixed at 44T M50 pitch.

3.03 The pinion gear may only be a 11T or 12T M50 pitch - but must be nominated by the race organisers when the event is announced.

 

 

4. CHASSIS

 

NB! - The chassis is completely open provided it adheres to the specifications in these regulations. You may use any commercially available chassis, mix parts from various chassis, modify any part of the chassis as you see fit and even build your own chassis.

4.01 Only one part of the chassis that is allowed to enter the track slot, and this part may not have a longer contact area than 27 mm.

4.02 Differentials are not allowed.

4.03 Magnets are only present in the motor, and are not allowed anywhere else on/in the chassis.

4.04 Chassis must have vertical movement, some of which must be sprung for suspension purposes.

4.05 All chassis assembly must be by means of bolts and nuts, no self-threading screws, solder or glue may be used.

4.06 The motor cannot be affixed to the chassis with solder.

4.07 Minimum and maximum wheelbase must always be centred within the front and rear wheel arches of homologated bodies. Here is a list of all the currently homologated bodies and some of the wheelbases:

5. WHEELS & INSERTS

 

5.01 FRONT WHEELS

5.11 The front wheels must make contact with the track or techblock over the full 6 mm, or more.

5.12 The use of cambered front wheels does not void in any way the rule regarding the minimum diameter, or the rule regarding the contact surface with the track or the tech block.

5.13 Front wheel diameter for cambered front wheels will be measured at the largest present diameter, which has to be respecting rule 2.07.

 

5.02 REAR WHEELS

5.2.1 Rear wheels are always Scale Auto ProComp 3 or Plafit rubber - both being 'Black Magic'. If handout tyres are used, the event organiser must specify the brand and the size when announcing the event. Tyre dressing of any kind is not allowed during the official practice, qualifying or during the race. The race tyres may only be cleaned using tape or Shellite supplied by the OAPR/race organization.

 

5.03 SPUR

5.3.1 None of the wheels may be visible when viewing the assembled car from above. Spur will be measured over the complete rims left and right, including wheel inserts.

 

5.04 WHEEL INSERTS

5.4.1 All 4 wheels of the car must be fitted with 3-dimensional (flat sheet or photo edged not allowed) wheel inserts, resembling the wheels of the real 1:1 car, during the entire race duration

 

 

6. BODY & ACCESORIES

 

6.01 Only vacuum formed 15 thou clear bodies are allowed. Provided these bodies have been homologated by the OAPR organisers.

 

6.02 MATERIAL

6.21 Body must be manufactured and/or assembled from one or more of the following materials: PVC, PET, PETG or Lexan.

6.22 The exterior of the body has to accurately represent the 1/1 car. This is to the discretion of the scrutineers to judge(s). No widened, stretched, flattened or smoothed silhouette style bodies will be allowed.

6.23 The same materials are allowed for the interior, windows etc., rear wing, diffuser and small add-on parts. Lexan is allowed for a rear vertical aero wing e.g. 2011 Peugeot 908, etc. All wing mounts must be the correct shape and can be made from rubber.

6.24 The body must cover all chassis and axle parts, so that no chassis part or axle part is visible when the car is viewed from above. This also includes the guide or any part thereof.

 

6.03 BODY INTERIOR

6.31 Interior must contain at least the following 3-dimensional items:

Dashboard (optional).

Steering wheel,

Painted driver figure with arms and legs,

Painted head/helmet combination in a hard plastic material.

 

6.04 BODY EXTERIOR

6.41 Bodies must be equipped with:

Front windshield and side windows if existing on the 1/1 race car

Front splitter if existing on the 1/1 race car

Rear spoiler /wing (may be made from flat sheet)

Rear view mirror(s) (optional)

Wiper (s) (optional)

Rear diffuser (optional)

Light inserts. (These are the plastic moldings that fit behind the outer light lenses and are normally mounted inside the body).

 

 

7. LIGHTS.

 

7.01 Functioning lights have to be present at least during night racing. These lights have to be installed (even during day racing) on their original 1/1 positions on the car.

7.02 Front lights: minimum two lights in total, one left, one right, yellow or white color, bright beam.

7.03 Rear lights: minimum two lights in total, one left, one right, red color, diffuse light.

7.04 Cars must always be fitted with light inserts even if no actual lights are fitted.

 

 

8. NOTES.

 

8.01 No working on cars during lane changes or track calls. All work on cars must be done during racing.

8.02 Any part bigger than 20mm (wheel insert size and bigger) that come off the car, must be put back on the car in it's original position. Tape may be used to do this.
