Friday Night 1/24 Hard Body Racing

Starting this coming Friday night there will be 1/24 hard body racing at Mobile Raceways starting at 7:00pm.Classes are Trans/Am and Modern GT3 and the following fortnight we will be running Group A Touring Cars and Group 5 sedans.

Scaleauto Modern GT3

SCALEAUTO MODERN GT3

Body

• Any hard plastic GT3 in 1:24 scale

• Painted &decaled to reflect actual Era specific livery

• An interior with a driver must be installed

• Body’s must be completed with original plastic windows “ No Lexan Windows”

• Body’s must be completed with bumpers ,spoilers ect

• All tyres must be inside the body when viewed from above

• The guide must be inside the body when viewed from above

• Cars need to retain the correct ride height and ground clearance

Chassis

• Standard scaleauto Chassis without any modification

• scaleauto motor with a 12t pinion

• 44t spur gear “standard ratio”

• Chassis must have a 1mm ground clearance front and back

Wheels

• Standard Scaleauto rims supplied with the chassis are to be used

• Rims must have inserts

• Front tyres must remain scaleauto supplied standard tyre

• Rear tyres must be Urethane, Ortmann or MJK

• Rear tyres must have an appropriate diameter compared to the model kit

Weight

• Body weight tbc?????

• Total weight tbc??????

1980’S GROUP 2-5

Body

• Plafit 1300 or 1700 chassis with standard side mounts

• Plafit fox motor with a 10t pinion “purple”

• 38t spur gear “yellow”

• Chassis must have a 1mm ground clearance front and back

Wheels

• Front & Rear rims have to be model specific and as close as possible to the era specific rims

• Rims must have inserts

• Front tyres must touch the track and have an appropriate diameter min 28mm

• No silicon tyres

• Rear tyres must be Urethane, Ortmann or MJK

• Rear tyres must have an appropriate diameter compared to the model kit

Weight

• Body weight tbc?????

• Total weight tbc??????

1985/92 GROUP A touring cars

Body

• Any car that raced at Bathurst under group A

• hard plastic 1:24 scale

• Painted &decaled in a fantasy livery or actual Era specific livery with 3 numbers

• An interior with a driver and a roll cage added must be installed

• Body’s must be completed with original plastic windows , bumpers ,spoilers ect

• All tyres must be inside the body when viewed from above

• The guide must be inside the body when viewed from above

• Cars need to retain the correct ride height and ground clearance

Chassis

• Solid front axle

• Plafit 1300 or1700 chassis with standard side mounts,no flat mounts and must use foam,no hard mount

Chassis with a cutout for the motor are not allowed

• Plafit fox motor with a 10t pinion “purple”

• 36t spur gear “red”

• Chassis must have a 1mm ground clearance front and back

Wheels

• Front & Rear rims have to be model specific and as close as possible to the era specific rims

• Rims must have inserts

• Front tyres must touch the track and have an appropriate diameter min 28mm

• No silicon tyres

• Rear tyres must be Urethane, Ortmann or MJK

• Rear tyres must have an appropriate diameter compared to the model kit

Muscle Car Masters will be run instead of the Trans Am class on the 2nd of the month this will allow a larger range of body types here are the rules

 

1964 – 78 Muscle car Masters

Body

• No sports cars i.e. corvette/ ac cobras ect

• Painted &decaled in a phantasy livery with 3 numbers

• An interior with a driver must be installed

• Body’s must be completed with original windows, bumpers ,spoilers ect

• All tyres must be inside the body when viewed from above

• The guide must be inside the body when viewed from above

• 3mm minimum sill height front and back

Chassis

• Solid front axle

• Plafit 1300 or 1700 chassis with standard side mounts

• Plafit fox motor with a 10t pinion “purple”

• 38t spur gear “yellow”

• Chassis must have a 1mm ground clearance front and back

Wheels

• Standard plafit rims supplied with the chassis are to be used

Hi Brett,yes Group A can use either the 1300 or 1700 chassis and no flat mounts and they must use foam and no solid mounts as per the discussions that we had on Friday night.No SLPJ chassis or chassis with a motor box cutout.
