Tony.A Posted November 22, 2024 Report Share Posted November 22, 2024 A new track has arrived at Outlaw Slot Cars and for all you speedway fans it is an oval track and all being well it should be operational just before Christmas with plans to hold Sprintcar and NASCAR races on it. Tony.A Posted February 24 Author Report Share Posted February 24 As can be seen from the attached the photo the speedway oval is almost ready for racing with the timing system due to arrive early this week and hopefully it will be ready for racing 1/32/Carrera NASCAR and 1/24 H & R Hard Body Vintage NASCAR next Sunday morning. Tony.A Posted March 16 Author Report Share Posted March 16 A couple of weeks ago the first race on the new oval was held and it was for Carrera NASCARs.Nine entries were received and it was good to see some drag racers have a go at circuit racing.With such a short lap it was very easy to drop laps if you had a crash.Dave won with 248 laps from Luke with 230 and Tony 227.John was next with 225 from Hayley 212,Plucka 202,Greg 197,Patrick 194 and Roofta 185.With more running being done and more rubber being put down the grip level is improving so the racing should be cleaner for the next round. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tony.A Posted March 30 Author Report Share Posted March 30 Next Sunday is the second round for Carrera NASCARs and H & R Vintage NASCARs. There is also a new class to be run on the oval for Scalextric Torana GTR - XU1s and we are looking for more people to run the new Parma 1/24 Sprint cars. These sprint cars are a blast to run on the oval.Racing starts at 10:30 am and you can get 3 hours of practice on the oval for $20 on Thursday nights as well as the other two circuit tracks. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tony.A Posted April 6 Author Report Share Posted April 6 Today was the second round of Carrera NASCAR on the oval and there were 10 entries.TQ went to Tony with 2.741 seconds,narrowly from Fred with 2.847 ,Dave with 2.895 and Leah with 2.943.With Hayley feeling ill there were only 9 racers with 3 byes and we ran 3 minute heats.The race quickly turned into a battle between Tony and Dave with Fred,Leah and Luke battling for third spot.Disaster struck both Fred and Dave with inexplicable car problems towards the end of the race with Fred retiring.In the end Tony won with 343 laps from Dave who recovered from his car problems towards the end finish second with 339 and Leah rounded out the podium with 322 laps.The midfield battle was by Luke with 311 from Rod 309 and Roofta on 297.Greg was next with 274 from Tommy with 272 and Fred retiring with 262. Tony.A Posted July 6 Author Report Share Posted July 6 Today was the next round for Carrera NASCARs on the oval and there were 8 entries.TQ went to Tony with 2.857 secs and only 0.4 seconds covered the rest of the field.Dave and Jared had a great race long battle with Dave winning with 363 laps from Jared 362 and Tony 337.Luke headed the midfield group with 321 from Fred 310,Leah 303,Plucka 297 and Roofta 296. Tony.A Posted August 11 Author Report Share Posted August 11 Racing returned to the oval yesterday and there were 7 entries for Carrera Nascar.TQ went to Dave with 2.738 seconds from Tony 2.832,Jared just beating his son Maverick with 2.860 to Maverick’s 2.866.Greg was next with 2.946,Roofta 2.982 and Luke 3.231.The racing was fast and furious with the usual crashes and light hearted banter.The race was a close battle between Dave,Tony and Jared with Dave winning with 371 laps from Tony 360 and Jared 358.Maverick was best of the rest with 342 from Roofta 332,Greg 327 and Luke 322. Tony.A Posted September 27 Author Report Share Posted September 27 14th September saw the Carrera NASCARs return to the oval with 11 entries which included some of the regular drag racers having a run.TQ went to Dave with a sizzling 2.485 secs and only 0.3 secs covered the field.Dave had an easy win with 410.003 laps from Maverick with his first podium with 374.613 and his Dad Jared took the last podium spot with 372.285.Tony M was next with 367.856 from Frankie with 359.699,Ashley with 356.381.Roofta was next with 350.789 narrowly ahead of Leah with 350.548.Luke was next with 342.097 and Fred with 321.663 and Tony A was a DNF with 41.200 with a motor failure.
