Badbilly
Hi Well this is it... its not much but till i get my shed back... its full of other ppls crap... it will have to do. hope they work!! The layout is pritty racy and both lanes seen to be equal in time but im thinking of moving on to the next challange.. this Please let me know wot u think +ive or -ive welcome Cheers Billy
Badbilly
i was going to make this a whole new topic as it is a whole new raceway and not even on the floor any more but i decided to add it here so u can see what i have gcome from to now! While its not in the same league as most of the tracks u guys have im still pritty pleased with how it has turned out so far and guess u all started somewhere. I was given an old ping pong table so i decided to use it in the "junk room" (as my wife calls it) and get up off the floor as it was getting harder the get up every time i deslot... which was often LOL I only finished assembling it on wedensday and im only planning to 'scape it a little as its only temp till i get my shed back but i will be making more track edges... either from old track or MDF board.. and maybe a limited amount of paper mashie (sp) so to learn the tricks for later on It is alot more challenging than any of my previous designs but much more satisfying when i get it all right and nail a new fast time:D... fastest lap so far is 6.5 seconds in a scaley MG Lola... and im sure it will make me a better driver as i now have feather the throttle not just back off and give it to it again like on the old track!! I do have a few issues with the track being bumpy and i do need to work on the hairpin at the end of the back straight as the F! and LMP cars deslot on the inside lane Well please let me know if u see a better way to do something i have done or have any tips etc... feedback is most welcome!! pezzwa
what if you were to have the hairpin flat and the other bit raised... would that fix the deslotting prob... just a thought Quote as long as its got wheels
Badbilly
hi pezzwa yeah mate thanks for the suggestion..i had thourght of that but i like the change in elevation in the hairpin.. it makes it more of a challange.. i was going to run the other way...clock wise... so it was kinda like the dipper at bathurst but running anti clockwise and going up it is more fun.. well i think I should be fine once i get more bridge supports which im hoping to have in about 3 weeks... till then i will just run the taller cars I will change to the other section being raised if i have no joy once the supports arive Cheers
Rene
heyo, kool track! i like what you did with the pit building. cya Rene. Vinno
I don't think you have done anything wrong with your track. I have also used the crossover curves the same way in my track. I found the inside lane which sweeps wide to be better to drive than the outside cutting in.
