It looks to be in "good shape" because it's been painted. Normally when the magnesium chassis is exposed to air you get corrosion. You can clean it off and seal it either with paint as was done here or a clear lacquer if you like the look of the bare magnesium.

Originally from England, living in the US (Colorado) since '73 and I still can't get the hang of this place. Must be that I'm still English at heart and in mind. Been racing slots off and on for about 10 years now. Took a few years break and now I'm back trying to figure it all out again - not that I had it figured out back then either. Diving in with both feet into 1/24, ScaleAutos and BRMs in particular and trying to spread the word to the local clubs. Interest is growing slowly but surely in that venue. 1:1 vehicles include a '94 BMW M3, '05 Subaru WRX wagon and an '11 Ducati Streetfighter. I've been reading a few posts on your take on the 1/24 stuff. There's a lot of stuff to consider that I hadn't even thought of. There are a few of you that take this quite seriously! Anyway, I hope you'll put up with my pestering (after I've used the search function)... Mark
