  1. You see a gun???? funny that, I see one of those weird looking pistol electronic controllers, with lots of board sticking out at the top. grego
  2. ohhh, yes please, draw me a picture of an anglewinder chassis with an inline pod. there 's a good boy grego
  3. " lil fella " is a bit rough coming from a guy who has got a "small nail" anglewinder -motors sidewinder-motors inline motors ?????????? You do have a confused mind here buddy. These are all simply motors, and of course one can stick them into a car however one can fit them. Generally speaking, slotit probaly uses anglewinder config.pods because the boxer motor is too long to go in as a sidewinder. For non Aussies: The term " lil fella" is a term of endearment and often used as "pick up line" by lonely shepherds out in the wild Aussie bush. (on sheep of course) grego
  4. looks like there is actually NO evidence at all about the audi coming out with anglewinder pod. gossip forum ? grego
  5. on the above prouced link to the slotit pamphlet I was able to see that they advertise 3 different motor configurations , but they are all "Inline" I could not see any reference to the previously mentioned anglewinder chassis, the only excuse I would have had to yet by another audi from slotit So, is this anglewinder chassis simply rumor ? grego
  6. never mind all that usless small talk, stick to the important part: quickly phone up your lawyer and ammend yourl will. Tell him when the wifey kills you, the brand new dremmel goes to grego . p.s. when you cut the shafts, don't just mind the heat. Watch out for the fine metal dust, which likes to settle on motor magnets, oily bearings and greasy pinions. I put my motors inside a plastic bag and then force the shaft alone to poke through the plastic, that prevents the worst but make sure you get rid of the filings befor you take the motor out of the bag again grego

The motor hits the interior! So that needs to be sectioned. Best bet is to section the body and add a chassis. Phil which would take us right into the ""Scratch build section"" of this forum.................. It basically means munter bought himself an expensiv little body that is "not quite right" which he could make into brilliant car with a nice brass chassis. Well, he is well known for being able to do just that. grego p.s. re indy grips. makes you wonder who bullshitted whom into what. they d dd dee ddeee did'nt cc c call me Arwkright for nothing.......................
  8. layout is nice but please recalculate the space between the lanes and especially outside the lanes going around the curves. For example, the spacing between my lanes is 100mm and 110mm from the outside lane to the armco. Even so, i get 32 sized cars to hit the sidewalls going around the curves, (without desloting) and also banging against oneanother in a head to head tassle going around the curves. grego
  9. YEP, i second that, It sure is a laid back little place to come and visit from time to time grego

that's a bloddy stupid thing to do , showing Munter this car, now he won't get out of his darn workshop untill his car looks at least as good as yours and goes twice as fast. And I had counted on him to dig a swimming pool on the back lawn this week.................... grego
  11. nee, the aussies are great in this respect, even sheep shaggers jokes go down a treat especially when winding up kiwis. grego
  12. holly crapp, you really did, so do I get any "browny points" for that ? and btw, have you found a fix for that interrupted power problem ? grego
  13. ..................and when he installs the "special magnets" and the proslot armature and pulls the trigger, the needle of the ampmeter on the powersupply wraps itself around the endpost............................. Power to the people grego
  14. have you allready got a "fastest lap time ?" grego
  15. 3 words You lucky bastard grego
  16. from memory the "plan " started way back in May last year or even earlyer. The promo went on parallel on the spanish and the international forum and Called for a minimum of 100 cars Neubauer managed to scratch 90 odd together and as he is a good ol buddy of mr NSR they went ahead and made them regardless of target not reached. All the keen guys here on the forum are going to have to order a dozen each to make it work. grego
  17. yeah, good little program, plenty for home use and small clubs. Sorry, but while i have made quite a few of those systems i have never run one into the keyboard plug. my keyboards all go with usb and laptimer 2000 does not work with usb ports. Because i became aware of these sort of problems when helping to setup a friends set, I now strictly stick with 15 pin Joy stick port, which has to be configured as a """2 axis game pad - 4 button """ It also needs a couple of 100k resistors soldered into the plug but i never had a system go wrong this way. grego
  18. strictly for my amusement please try the same, lifting the car of the ground and running, but when it then does not want to go when you put it down, DO NOT push it away from the spot but simply count to 10. I know it sound all rather weird but i had a case where the exact same happened, I lifted the cars rear and run it up but then: "nothing" My powersupply did not like my fancy electronic controller and the overload protection circuit switched in and the the power was interrupted for a few seconds. The "overload" happened actually when braking, not when running the motor. We are talking a constant 25 A powersupply here, a real whopper of a thing, not a wallwart. You are running analogue, not digital are you ?????? Welcome to the weird and whacky world of electronics grego
  19. when you say :"I mirored all the settings" Have you also configured the port on your old pc ? grego
  20. just use the 15pin Joystick port and you shall have : """Joy"""
  21. Are you using High Sensitive Darlington Phototransistors Cat Z 1951 from Dick Smith electronic ? Are you using Win XP or older ? Have you checked if the port has been configured properly ? Inside laptimer 2000 software, under "settings" , have you tried "inverting " the laptimer switch ?(little box to tick) I am mostly using ""older computers" and prefer to use the 15pin port, which involves the use of 2 100kohm resistors inside the plug. my computer geek once explained to me why this should be the port of choice but i have now forgotten why. I use the above mentioned darlingtons because any ornary light source will do and in a bright room during daytime they work even without artificial light . Have done about half a dozen this way and they all work faultlessly. grego
  22. ..........anything that makes women a better lay gets my approval, and, never mind the bloddy eggs ! Deadly serious grego
  23. I ALWAYS buy local, as long as its planet earth.......... I just love the hunt for ""the bargain price"" grego

    48 Pitch

32 34 and 36 tooth have the boss on the outside towards the rim, like Imkowl says. Sanding the boss would mean the gear goes closer to the rim and would become tighter. Just had a natter with another club mate who I knew had the same problem. He is adamant that slotit has it wrong and once one goes to the 32/34/36 gears with the boss rim side one should use a 5.5.mm inline gear, which he reckons fixed the problem for him. Sounds weird because that is a full 1mm smaller in diameter to the sidewinder pinion which is of course 6.5mm Furthermore the inline gears stop at eleven tooth, they don't do a 12 and 13 tooth. grego

    48 Pitch

seems my suspicions are getting confirmed here. As the gears are getting bigger (and maybe the boss changes sides) something might have gone wrong with the growing diameter of the gear against the 6.5mm pinion. So far we have confirmation that 28T and 30T works smoothly and we know that 34T and 36T sounds and feels like a coffee grinder. Who has tried the 32T ???? grego
